Chief 2-2, Engine 23 and Rescue Squad 2 respond to assist Company 11 with a reported chimney fire. Engine 23 arrived on scene and assumed RIT, Chief 2-2's vehicle was used by Chief 11-1 as the command post and Rescue Squad 2 staged while units from Company 11 investigated. Crews found a fire in the fire place and the damper closed which filled the house with smoke. Units removed the smoke and burning materials from the fire place, ventilated the structure and returned to service.
